Velvety & spirit forward. Sweet but balanced using earthy culturally rich spices, citrus and fruit with an ending of savory and smokiness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 oz Makers Mark
  • 1 oz Fresh Sour mix (1:1 lemon lime juice)
  • 1 strawberry (large or 2 medium)
  • 1 oz African Spiced Syrup
  • 1 oz Egg White

Instructions

Muddle strawberry. add remaining ingredients. Reverse Dry Shake with ice.
Double Strain into glass.
African Spiced Syrup
  • 1:1 sugar to water
  • 12 green cardamom pods
  • 1/4 Ethiopian coffee beans or dark roast
  • 2 tbsp Black Peppercorns (Tanzanian)
  • 5 Pemba cloves
  • 1 Madagascar vanilla bean pod
Dry roast all ingredients over high heat. Crack/lightly grind ingredients add water and sugar. Heat until sugar is dissolved. Strain.

Garnish: Kaffir leaf & 24k gold leaf on top

Glassware: Coupe
