Walking on Sunshine- Guava Whiskey Spritz

A tropical low abv summertime slammer! This spritz variation uses makers mark bourbon to add complexity and spice. It’s a perfect pool-side companion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 0.5 oz lemon juice
  • 1 oz guava cordial
  • 0.75 oz amaro Angeleno
  • 1.25 oz makers mark
  • 2 oz soda water

Instructions

Add all ingredients to your collins glass. Top it off halfway with crushed ice. Use a bar spoon or swizzle stick to mix the ingredients for 8-10 seconds. Top with more crushed ice and garnish.

Guava cordial
  • 250 ml Kerns guava nector juice
  • 250 ml demerara sugar
  • 5 grams lemon zest
  • 2 grams citric acid

Combine all ingredients and sous vide at 135 degrees for 2 hours. Strain and chill.

Garnish: dehydrated lemon and cilantro blossoms

Glassware: Collins or Pilsner
