Vegan and plant-based living is easy in a city named the third most vegan and vegetarian friendly city in the nation according to a 2022 study done by WalletHub.  The city offers an array of options that make the transition seamless for those that are looking to make a dietary change with many of those restaurants being Black- Owned.

Famous for their trendy Vegan Seafood Boil, Compton Vegan is making it easy to go vegan. The menu consist of many Southern food classics as well as innovative dishes that are 100% plant-based. Find Jackfruit Ribs, Mac & Cheese and even Wings on the menu. Owner Lamel Durrah,  brought vegan food to an area that didn’t have healthy options for the community. Lovelei Duo is a delivery only vega/plant based Caribbiean-American fusion that is full of flavor. Chef Lovelei has been practicing a vegan lifestyle since childhood. She also has worked in the medical field as a nutritionalist. 

Some of the dishes featured in their menu are Jerk Chik’n Mac, Loaded Jerk Nachos, and Caramel Pecan Banana Pudding. They are also known for their adaptogenic mocktails.
