Lil Yea- Coconut Sweet Potato Bourbon Cocktail

My Lil yeah is a fun and easy cocktail featuring fresh coconut water, sweet potatoes, and sea salt.

Ingredients
- 2 oz Makers Mark
- 1 oz Coconut Sweet Potato Syrup
- 3/4 oz Salted Cilantro Lime Juice
Instructions
Add ingredients to a cocktail shaker and shake.
Coconut sweet potato syrup:
- 2 sweet potatoes
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup raw sugar
- Fresh coconut
Boil, peel, and juice sweet potatoes. Pour approx 2 cups of sweet potatoes juice/purée into the pot. Add one cup of FRESH coconut water (crack and double strain water from coconut for this step; in DIRE circumstances, substitute coco lopez… avoid substitutions at all costs) Add both raw and brown sugar. Simmer on low heat for 20 minutes and then transfer to squirt bottle
Salted Cilantro Lime Juice:
- 8 oz freshly squeezed lime juiced
- Handful of cilantro finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon of fresh shipped cilantro.
Juice limes. Combine limes and cilantro and then muddle cilantro into lime juice the juice. Let sit for 4-6 hours and double strain
Garnish:Â Garnished with a sprig of cilantro and a lime wheel
Glassware:Â Rocks Glass
