Ingredients
- 3/4 oz. Maker’s Mark Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky
- 3/4 oz. Amaro Averna
- 3/4 oz. Calimyrna Fig Syrup
- 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
Instructions
Prepare Calimyrna fig syrup.
Add all of the ingredients to a cocktail shaker
Shake for 20 seconds or until shaker is frosty on the outside
Double strain into a coupe glass and garnish with a fig and lemon twist
Serve
Calimyrna Fig Syrup
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sun-dried Calimyrna figs, diced
Prepare the fig syrup by adding all of the ingredients to a small saucepan and bringing the mixture to a boil
Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 15 minutes
Remove from heat and let syrup cool completely before use. Allow figs to steep in syrup while cooling to intensify the syrup’s flavor
Strain the figs out of the syrup and store in a glass container for use
Garnish: Fig and lemon twist twist.
