In film, my favorite love story is Like Water for Chocolate, a Mexican tale of a lover, Tita, unable to marry due to her duties to her mother as the youngest daughter. Therefore, her love is expressed through her food. When she’s sad, her food tastes of salty tears and when she is happy and in love, you taste it. Tita’s most beloved recipe Quail in Rose Petal Sauce is the inspiration. With fusions of chocolate and strawberries, my love language, this drink hits different notes all combined perfectly with one sip. May we all experience love like this.
