    Named after Makeda, the niece of Maurice and Pamela Hill, Makeda’s Cookies has been baking in Memphis for 25 years. Makeda lost her battle to leukemia in 1997 and it was a unanimous decision to name the family business after Makeda. Her presence lit up any room and they wanted that same glow to be present with Makeda’s Cookies.
