A savory cocktail balanced with lemon and honey infused with star anise. It has a lingering finish carried by cherry herring and red wine vinegar.

Ingredients
- 1/2 oz lemon
- 1/2 oz red wine vinegar
- 3/4 Cherry Herring
- 3/4 star anise honey
- 1.5 oz Makers Mark
Instructions
Star Anise Infused Honey
- 1:1 ratio with honey and hot water in a
- 1 quart deli container.
- 1 Cinnamon stick
- 10 star anise
- Zest of 1 whole orange
Cover and steep until cool
Garnish:Â Single ice cube and garnished with 2 unbleached maraschino cherries
Glassware:Â Double Old Fashioned Glass.
