By Sharon Tolbert’s standards, anything can be considered “soul food” if it comforts you. At her restaurant, Grandma’s in Da Kitchen, she cooks up traditional soul food like ribs, fried catfish, and okra alongside her own favorites like chicken livers and rum raisin cannoli. Raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, she brings a little Southern touch to everything she does and keeps the memories of her grandmother and mother alive through her cooking.
