Sue Soul Food Heaven was created to honor of my late sister, Kenyatta Sue Lucas, who passed from a sudden brain aneurysm.
Sue truly believed in family; she was in love with music and soul food. To honor her memory, we came together as a family and opened Sue’s Soul Food Heaven, which is inspired by her love music.
You’ll see Sue’s face smiling down at you as drive up to our colorful restaurant. We sought out some of the best, local street artists from the greater Maricopa area to bring our cinder block building to life with their creations.
Inside, you’ll find a fun, loving, and musical atmosphere full of warm spirits and great energy. Original artwork of Bob Marley and Aretha Franklin was hand drawn by Ramika Boaze of Meeks Customs.
At Sue’s, we feature expertly smoked meats, with all of your favorite sides. From mac & cheese to greens, oxtail stew and more. All of our meat is slowly smoked to perfection.
Sue’s is bringing the soul back to Phoenix, one plate at a time.
